• An interesting short (approx. 6 min.) video from the European Space Agency's (ESA) astronaut Alexander Gerst, while performing a tour of duty on the International Space Station. Watch "Earth in Time-lapse."
• UFO investigator John Greenewald, who has spent twenty years researching the still vexing question of a possible governmental cover-up of proof of alien contacts that occurred beginning with the famous Roswell incident of 1947, has just posted 130,000 pages of U.S. Air Force documents related to UFO sightings and the follow-up investigations on his Web site, The Black Vault. Of approximately 12,000 incidents recorded by the Air Force between 1947 and 1969, some 701 remain unsolved.
• We already know the definition of a Good Landing. But what constitutes a Great Landing? Perhaps dealing brilliantly with vicious cross winds? Especially in the largest commercial aircraft?Some examples in this YouTube video could be entitled “Making a Beauty Out of a Beast."Check out the crab (crosswind correction) on the supersonic Concorde at 1:35 into the video.And there are much bigger crabs to come.But first, we hope no one was in the rearmost cabin area for the bummer at 2:10. If so, someone may have been lost—literally—in the resulting “broke-back” landing.Now the prize winner for crabs.  Look at 3:23 into the video. You’d have to call this one a “King Crab” because it’s nearly 80 degrees to the runway--and it’s a 747! The pilot must have been a contender on Dancing with the Stars, where he learned to do a ballet-style pirouette at the last moment, resulting in a picture-perfect landing.
