About Darrin Silver...

Darrin Silver is a native Californian who began drawing at the age of two. His cartooning talents were discovered in high school where he drew comics for the school newspaper.

Darrin enjoys airbrushing, painting and designing custom artwork including corporate logos and aircraft nose art.

Darrin’s love of art is matched only by his love of flying. Since learning to fly at age 16 Darrin has earned an aviation degree from San Jose State University and has amassed thousands of hours of flight time in everything from small aerobatic sport planes to cargo planes and even a supersonic fighter jet.

WingNuts was created out of Darrin Silver’s combined passion for art, aviation and humor. Follow the antics of Billion Air’s zany flight crew, led by Captain Otto Pylott and First Officer Roger Overnout, as they discover life’s inherent humor. Whether in the air or on the ground, traveling or relaxing at home, their eccentric escapades lead them into countless amusing predicaments all of which make Flying High a must-read. Darrin’s unique brand of humor, flying expertise and artistic talent make this a witty, dynamic comic strip that appeals to everyone."
