December 2005 Mile-High Maidens
According to researchers from the Adelaide and Meath Hospital in Dublin, fatter rear ends are causing many drug injections to miss their mark, requiring longer needles to reach the buttocks muscle.
The findings, presented at the annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America, also indicated that as a consequence patients are receiving less than the correct drug dosage.
Furthermore, medications that remain lodged in fat can cause infection or irritation. Not a Good Thing, as Martha Stewart might say.
Very interesting. But certainly not something that will be a problem for this month’s Maidens....
